- It is a fight to receive the love of the truth.
- I cannot love anyone in this flesh. I first have to lay down my own life.
- Lay down your life.
- Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
- THEY mentioned in Revelation 12:11 is those saved in Heaven. When you receive Christ you receive the blood of the Lamb. If you receive it and don’t share it you become dead.
- There are 2 seas, one that allows life in and out and one that allows life in but it holds it in and does not let it back out and it dies. Our faith is likewise, we need to receive the Gospel and share it or we will die:
- Sea 1 is the Sea of Galilee. The River of Life – Jordan flows in and out.
- Sea 2 is the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea receives of the water flowing in and it holds it and does not let it out, so it dies.
- The word of your testimony is sharing what God has done for you.
- Love not your life or you cannot love God.
- In order to love His life more than your own, you have to know what His life is. This means you have to study up on His ways. (2 Timothy 2:15 “Study to shew thyself approved unto God…”)
- If we take half the energy we put into most things in our life into our walk with the Lord, imagine what your life could be like.
- Learn how to partake fully of all the Lord has for you.
- We have opportunities daily to give up our old lives – like a hound dog. If you try to take his gnarly old bone away from him, he will attack you. However, if you give him a fresh juicy steak he will be more likely to give up his old nasty bone. You have to replace it with something better or he won’t give it up.
