Subject:
- Don’t just lay down the old man, cast it off as far as east is from the west.
- To be recognized for our love for others it starts at home and moves out from there.
- We must get away from asking God “why?”, “Why me?”, why this? or why that? Who are we to question the Lord. Our only response to God should be yes Lord, no problem Lord. Take Job as an example, when he asked the Lord “why?” Read Job chapters 38 & 39 to see what Gods answer was to Job.
- Not only should we not judge God in his chastening but neither should we judge those whom God has put before us when they correct us. It is the same as judging God. We need to accept correction with a good attitude and with joy because God chastens out of love for you.
- 1 John 1:8 & 9 . If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Jesus tells us that all have sinned. We are all sinners and to deny that is to call Him a liar. God and His abundance of Love, Grace, Mercy, and Forgiveness is faithful to forgive us if we would only humble ourselves enough to acknowledge that we sin. What more could you want than a Father who will do that for you?
- We were bought with a price, we are not our own, we belong to the Lord and our purpose on this earth is to serve and glorify God. It is important to get this concept into our heads at the very beginning of each day.
- Faith is much more precious than anything else you could ever have.
- We have to decide against everything in our nature and believe that God loves us and what is going on is for our own good. When we don’t have that perspective we start to question what is going on around us and we fall into constant judgment of the character of God.
- We are going to learn the lessons that God has for us in order to be effective in His plan.
- Jesus is our inspiration!
- God is wanting people who are willing to put themselves out there and try to do what He wills.
- We need to choose that what we believe in the Spirit according to Gods word is right. Trust God!
