  • Jeremiah 23:33-40

  • James 4:6

Subject:

  • If you preach the Gospel of Jesus, the light that shines out of you towards others will shine on you too because Jesus loves you.  That light shining on you will shine into the areas of your heart where there is darkness so you can weed it out.
  • Read Matthew 21:28-32 for the story of two sons who were told to go out and work in the vineyard.  The one son said he would not go but then repented and went, the other said he would go but then did not.  We should say we will go and then do it gladly.
  • To repent means to change, not a 20 degree change but a 180 degree change.  To repent means to go the opposite direction.
  • How hard is it to say “I was wrong”?
  • Repent and He is faithful and just to forgive us.
  • Put off pride and put on humility.
  • Got resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.
  • Submit to those who have the rule over you.
  • If you won’t repent in humility, you are saying that God is wrong and you are right.
  • The grace of God covers, washes away and redeems the moment you truly repent before God.
  • The Gospel of Jesus Christ is about redemption, not condemnation.
  • Bringing the Gospel cannot happen if you think you are right.
