TFM-Northfield-VermontSpeakers:

  • Steve Atherton
  • Carrie Cannon

Scriptures used:

  • Romans 14
  • Isaiah 3:12

Subject:

  • As it states in Rom 14:11-12, we will all give account to God.  Most of us will not give account to God on this earth, but we will ALL give account someday.
  • God is agape love, not felios.  We are addicted to felios love on this earth.
  • Men in recent generations didn’t show their feelings, then, they were condemned for it.
  • They then gave in to the women who felt bad about the things they did, and they began to get in touch with their feelings.
  • Giving in to feelings is not of God and has created a generation of men who don’t want to stand.
  • Men are unimpressed with the church.  They don’t go but their wives think it’s good and they agree to have them take the children because they think it will be good for them.  The children hate it and turn away from it when they are of age.
  • In early America the fathers read the scriptures to the children and expounded them to them.
  • Now we are in the time when they don’t even know the scriptures.  The church is in error.
  • The church became apostate:  out of favor with God.  All the while it was feeling good about itself.
  • They didn’t look at themselves as being the problem, they blamed others.
  • They labored in vain.  When you labor in vain, it never accomplishes anything.
  • If you’re going to bow to God, wouldn’t you rather do it now?
  • We have to be willing to speak truth to people.  This is agape love.
  • In Isaiah 3:12, the word people refers to the men.  Children are their oppressors.  When we cater to our children, they become our oppressors.  It becomes all about them.  They become lovers of their own selves.
  • Women are more naturally about feelings.   People are training their children to be goats, going their own way and doing whatever they please.
  • Men today are not wanting to upset their wives.
  • We have to be wanting the person’s salvation more than their feelings.
  • We can’t let other people’s or our own feelings rule us.
  • Jesus knew what was before him and asked God to let this cup pass from Him.  When He was ready, Judas showed up.  He said nothing in His own defense at all.
  • To carry out the mission He’s given us, we have to walk in agape love, not felios.
  • The life of a Christian is to manifest His divine nature, love, power, grace, mercy.
  • When you do this your reward is hatred from all men for His name’s sake but also to take your place in eternity with Him.
  • It is better to tell them the truth than to allow them to go to hell.
  • Even though we’re not walking in felios, we can still walk in compassion.
  • The Gospel is  salvation.  But out here salvation comes to those who know they need it.  Church people think they are righteous.  Unless you tell them, how can you call that love?
  • If you repent there is healing and forgiveness.  They need to know this.
  • It is agape love that saves.
