Subject:

  • A look back to clarify Luke 18: 25, “For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
  • The story of Zacchaeus the publican and the testimony of his salvation.  Seeing how he brought forth the fruits of repentance in accordance with John the Baptist’s preaching in Luke 3.
  • The parable of the nobleman given as those who followed Jesus thought the kingdom of God should immediately appear.  Their understanding was yet incorrect.
  • Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem, his weeping for the city, his prophecy of its destruction in 70 A.D.
  • Jesus’ casting out of those who bought and sold in the temple saying the temple is a house of prayer and they have made it a den of thieves.
  • His daily teaching in the temple, the attentiveness of the people, and the ongoing desire of the chief priests, scribes and chief of the people to find a way to destroy him.
