• We don’t see much of God in this world.  We see a lot of satan.
• When God did the most amazing miracle He ever performed, he called His name Jesus.  He took a virgin girl, nothing special about her except her lineage, and she bare a son and called His name Jesus.  Jesus walked that perfect life doing only what He saw His father do and say.  He was obedient unto the Father even unto the cross.
• Lucifer was cast out of heaven and his body was destroyed.  A spirit without a body can’t do much.  It’s nothing to be afraid of.
• We look through the history of the Bible to see where Lucifer used people to do his thing.  God doesn’t force Himself on anybody and He doesn’t control.  God says this is what I want, will you do it?  This is what I need, will you do it?  If you say “Yes Lord” then you’re in for a ride that the world can’t even come close to.
• If you build a city on top of a hill it is seen by everybody.  Now let’s say you are a city… where are you?  Do you put yourself out there where everybody can see you, or do you hide back in the bushes somewhere?  Do you hide behind a facade of political correctness so nobody will think badly of you?  Or are you a city out there for everybody to see?
• If you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you receive the Holy Spirit, your job is not to be hidden but to be out there where everybody can see you, faults and all.  God sees it all, what does it matter if others see a fault?  What does it matter if they judge you?  God already has and when He judged you as guilty He still gives you mercy and grace and eternal life.  The world will not do that, so why do you care what the world thinks?  The world will have you cast out and cast down.
• A city hidden is no good.  When you hide you’re not serving God, you’re serving yourself.
• Do you hide what God has given you?  What do you do with what He gave to you?
• There have been many times when God has moved mightily in Brother Davy’s ministry, some of those present are still here today.  When He moved, it was because Brother Davy didn’t care about man’s approval but rather cared about glorifying Jesus.
• Every one of you can do that if you will set your heart on Him.
• There are things you may have to give up, but it’s worth it.  So what?  You can be friends with them in hell or wave at them from Heaven and tell them that you tried to tell them.
• Every one of you who has received Christ is a candle.  What are you showing the world?
• The worst bushel that Brother Davy ever had to deal with is called pride.  Nobody wants to talk about pride.
• If you don’t have anything else, I guess pride is something to brag about.  People with the least have the most pride.
• I’m not proud to be an American, I didn’t have anything to do with it.  I’m blessed to be an American.
• What are you going to do with it?
