Count the cost when you choose to serve Jesus. It may cost you your natural life. There have been many people throughout history faced with the decision to stand in their faith when their life was on the line in an instant. Will you be able to confess Jesus at a time such as that or deny Him in that moment to save your life? Tough to know until you find yourself faced with it. It’s nice to think that it won’t be a problem and you would easily give your life to stand strong for Jesus, but would you really?
Although it seems, at times, that you’re losing your things because you serve Christ, it’s really getting rid of the unnecessary stuff so He can provide you with the things you do need to do what He has called you to do. He then blesses you with more than you could ask or think.
The more you learn about Him, the more you learn His ways, the more you learn what it looks like when He’s operating in you, the more you learn how faithful His Word is and how faithful He is to accomplish a thing He says He will do, the more you will learn that you gained a lot more than you lost.
Everyone has an eternal life. The question is, will it be in hell or heaven? Choose this day whom you are going to serve.
If you have a testimony of what the Lord has done for you or something He delivered you from tell somebody about it. Your own testimony can be the most powerful ministry to a person. As it is in Luke 11:33, don’t hide that testimony of Gods goodness, put it out there for all to see and hear.
If you decide to follow and serve the Lord it will cost you everything you have. However, the Lord will replace those things which you were willing to give up with better things. Do you want to have the things that Jesus gives you, or the things of the world that you labored for in ignorance? He will bring back to you more than you could ask or think.
God can take a person who has been an enemy of His word and of His ways and still turn them around to be a minister of Jesus Christ. That is the power and goodness of God.
How easy is it for God to give you the desires of your heart if you are looking to please Him. If you, being evil, know how to give good things, how much more shall He give to those who look to serve Him?
