Subject:

  • God’s purpose is not to support our agenda. We were created to serve His agenda.  Having our own agenda keeps us from moving forward in the body of Christ.  You must set your own agenda aside to learn to operate in the Spirit of God.
  • You will not be able to serve Gods agenda and your own at the same time.  It doesn’t work to try and mix both together.  You choose to do one or the other.
  • Lean not on your own understanding.  When you lean on your own understanding you tend to resist God’s will.
  • If you operate in your own agenda you are not recognizing Jesus’ Lordship.  If you have not chosen Him as the Lord of your life, you, or worse, Satan is lord of your life.  Submit yourself to the Lord.
  • If Jesus is your Lord then you are His servant.  If you are His servant then He deserves your full attention at all times.
  • Having a continual readjustment of our commitment, attitudes and choices is critical.  It’s a choice not to have any confidence in our own understanding.  We are supposed to be depending on the revelation of the Lord and His perspective in every situation.  Gods perspective is what is important and should concern us.  Putting on the mind of Christ is about setting ourselves and our ideas about everything aside.
  • We can do nothing without Jesus as Jesus did nothing of Himself without the Father.  Jesus did nothing but what the Father gave Him to do and said nothing but what the Father gave Him to say.
  • Trust that Gods agenda is for us to have good things and have everlasting life.
  • When we choose to remain angry and embittered about a situation it is because we want to be justified in that anger instead of bringing it to the light and putting it off.
  • God resists the proud.  If you are too full of pride to receive the provisions God has for you then you won’t get them.  What often happens is God gets blamed for not meeting expectations. God did not fail, it was your pride that caused failure.
  • God will give you everything you need to serve Him.  If you ask God for something to satisfy your own lust He will not provide it because it won’t serve Him and it’s not good for you.
