Subject:

  • When you ask Jesus what you must do to have eternal life He will tell you the truth and will show you the things in your life that are holding you back from receiving that life.
  • You may not be happy with the answer at first but hopefully you will recognize soon that it is a fantastic thing to have a God who loves you enough to give you the answer.
  • Gods grace is sufficient for us in the midst of our infirmities and the ungodly things that we have trouble getting away from.  Gods strength is made perfect in our weakness.  When we are weak, that is when God is strong for us.
  • When you lay hands on a person and they are healed, it is the power and might of Jesus that heals.  It is the healing power of God that works through a person that gets it done.  The person whom God works through is NEVER, NEVER to take credit for it.  Credit ALWAYS goes to God.
  • When we experience infirmities, persecutions and distress for Christs’ sake as Christians, we should not look at them as things that God has done to you, rather look at them as opportunities to tell others how good God is in the midst of it all.  It is a testimony to others that the good things of God are still better than the problems.
  • If you don’t take the time to see things from Gods perspective it won’t take any time at all to get puffed up in pride and become angry with God, thinking that God is being mean to you when tribulations come around.  God is not a mean God that is looking to punish you.  God wants you to see His goodness toward you when He delivers you from such troubles.
  • If we say that we abideth in Christ, then we are to walk as He walked.  In truth and in love.
  • It is reasonable for God to want you to be a living sacrifice to serve Him instead of the world or serving self.  After all, God is the creator, we are only the created.
  • If you are not willing to lay aside your own life and follow Christ then you are not worthy of Him.  Jesus said so Himself.
  • Even when your intentions are to love someone and share the Gospel with them and extend grace and mercy to them so they can see the goodness of God and know He is real and have the chance for salvation, your efforts won’t always be received. It can be grievous and bring sorrow upon your heart, but don’t let it stop you from continuing forward in Christ.  Jesus will not always be received by people no matter how much effort you may put into it.  That’s the way it is.  It will be tough to witness this at times because we cannot change people even when we want to so badly, but understand that even when people reject Christ it is still something God can use to make His judgment righteous unto them.  Let God deal with a person in their rejection of Christ, it’s not our job to interfere with a persons free will and try to force them to change.  All it will do is make you miserable.
