Subject:

  • We really need to realize how good the Lord is. The goodness of the Lord is taking the care from us so we can have a peace of mind and be at peace with Him. Recognizing His good works in a situation that seems hopeless.
  • No matter how long you have walked with the Lord or how close you are to the Lord, you will always have a need to have your faith tried and continue to be reminded that He is our only hope to be shed of the things that hold us back from continuously moving forward.
  • You can believe that Jesus died on the cross for the sins of the world, but, do you believe He died for you personally. Just because you believe it does not necessarily mean that you have received it for yourself.
  • Does fear and trembling come upon you when you think about the children of Israel whom God lead out of Egypt to take them to the promise land and only 2 people made it out of over a million because of their unbelief.
  • We should joy in our tribulations. It’s the tribulations we experience that gives us the opportunity to practice turning to Jesus and putting our faith and hope in Him and trusting His abilities to get us through the problem.
  • Jesus was the one who died on the cross for us. Nobody else. So, it makes sense that what Jesus thinks of us is all that matters. What others think of us does not matter. Jesus is the one who will be the judge of your eternal existence. Be mindful of what He thinks of you.
  • When a person strikes us in anger it is common that one of two things are likely to happen. Either, we will strike back with anger or we will run away. Jesus pointed out to us a third option. Stand…….without fighting back or running away. This is a reference to ‘ turn the other cheek’. It is an opportunity to show mercy and grace to a person by NOT striking back and by not running away it shows them that you will not be moved or run away from a tough situation.
  • If your going to fear something, fear God. It is a good kind of fear.  Not to say that we have to live in fear and be afraid of God. But that God is the one who has the authority to save our soul or to condemn it. Fear what God is able to do because of disobedience and unbelief. No need to fear men, all men can do is kill the flesh, but God is the judge of our eternal soul.
  • Are you willing to put your life on the line to preach the gospel to those who may kill you for it?
  • Life is not about us, but about the Lord and His gospel, and that it is spread to all people for the sake of salvation.
