- The Lord doesn’t only correct us by having someone speak harshly to us, sometimes, if we will listen, He uses situations we are in to shine a light on areas that need to be surrendered and changed.
- When Sister Sue reflected on a conversation between herself, Sister Karen and Brother Rick she saw that the Lord was showing her an area in her life where her attitude was not right and this allowed her the opportunity to choose whether or not to do right.
- Take God seriously, don’t take yourself seriously, believe the Word.
- Every part of your existence is imperfect! That’s why Jesus died for us. Because He knew we were imperfect.
- He loves us in spite of our imperfections.
- We impute our own unrighteousness on God.
- God chastens those He loves. Hebrews 12:11 “Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”
- If you don’t receive chastening, bitterness springs up.
- If you don’t put off that bitterness it will grow into bitterness towards God and others in the body of Christ.
- Will you throw away your birthright for the sake of your pride as Esau sold his birthright to Jacob for a bowl of food?
- A froward mouth is such a bad thing because what comes out of the mouth comes from the heart.
- A froward mouth is constantly arguing and correcting others.
