TFM-Northfield-VermontSpeakers:

  • Steven Atherton
  • Robin Atherton

Scriptures used:

  • Hebrews 11

Subject:

  • Jesus paid a price so we could exit this kingdom and enter His Kingdom.
  • This domain, satan is the lord of, but the Lord’s Kingdom is above it and the only way to it is through the blood of the Lamb, Jesus.
  • Reconciliation to God means we die to the things of this earth and by faith dwell in the Kingdom of God and under His Lordship.  That is the only place we can live free of sin.
  • Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen.
  • Abraham was a man of faith who received the promises of God because Abraham believed.
  • When we believe God we can dwell in His Kingdom, follow after the things of Heaven and live in the Spirit.
  • God is faithful.  He has given us His Word and He is faithful to keep it.
  • The story of Sarah shows a woman who overcame her natural man and believed God and at 90 years old was able not only to get pregnant but to carry that baby to term, deliver the child and live.  That is a remarkable testimony when you consider that in this day one of the most common causes of death among women around the world is still through childbirth.
  • If we will believe God, then God is able to perform and we are delivered from the body of this flesh.
  • We have a dwelling place in Jesus where our natural man does not matter and we have to submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
  • We are not our own, we are either under the Lordship of Jesus Christ or of satan.
  • The Rock of Salvation – There is no rock, there is no god like our God.  No other name worthy of all our praise.  The Rock of Salvation that cannot be moved, He’s proven Himself to be faithful and true, there is no rock, there is no god like ours.
  • The testimony of Scott B. is that the Lord moved on him to move to Texas and he heard the word of God’s ministers and obeyed.  Because of his obedience, the Lord moved on his behalf despite the fact that Scott did some things incorrectly or was willing to leave without doing things correctly.  The Lord met their needs and has redeemend their finances in His grace and tender mercies and now Scott and his family will have the finances they thought they would have going to Texas and they will instead have them available to live in Texas.
  • The recognition that “things” or “stuff” need to be shed so we can move forward in the Lord is vitally important for us to move in Christ without the excess baggage.
  • When the brethren contribute to what others need, things are accomplished amazingly quickly, amazingly well and without complication.  It is a testimony to us of how God moves on our behalf.
  • When we fall we are to stand strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
  • Where sin abounds, grace aboundeth more.  Put your trust in the grace of God and not your abilities.
  • The more you lean on your abilities, the less you walk by faith in Christ Jesus.
