Subject:
- Choose to have a good week.
- In the world people are discouraged, in Christ and outside of Him. What is discouragement?
- William Ward – Discouragement is dissatisfaction with the past, distaste for the present, and distrust of the future. It is ingratitude for the blessings of yesterday, indifference to the opportunities of today, and insecurity regarding strength for tomorrow.
- Once you come to a knowledge of Christ, believe that gospel, doesn’t all that just melt away? It should. Your past is wiped clean.
- Be content where you are today and know in the future you can do all things in Christ.
- When you find yourself in unbelief you need to come to the realization it can change; it can be different. Through Christ each and every one of us has the opportunity to seek that peace with God, that joy, seeking to become that perfect man. Make the choice to believe the gospel.
- Come to the full realization of the gospel, receive correction and cast off unbelief.
- Grasp to believe the Lord. Discouragement is simply unbelief.
- He died on the cross and was resurrected in power that we may be free.
- To believe God is a choice you make; The freedom is at hand to grab a hold to.
- Choose to believe God in the situation, no matter what.
- Hold nothing back from the Lord. When the Lord says get rid of it, shed it, do that He has far better for us.
- We give up so easily on choosing the Lord; but remember what Jesus did.
- Let go of the things that drag you down, those idols; the Lord has something better for you. When you grab a hold to the gospel people can start seeing Jesus through you.
- What must we do to do the works of God? Believe on Him whom He hath sent.
- The pruning has to take place and sometimes that’s ugly.
- Receive His reconciliation then share it.
