  • Phillip Walthall

Scriptures used:

  • Matthew 5:20
  • James 1:1-6
  • James 1:12-14
  • Luke 10:19
  • 1 John 1:5
  • Matthew 7:22-25
  • James 2:14-20
  • James 4:1-7

Subject:

  • Realize you can do nothing before you come into knowing that through Him you can do everything.
  • What we have to offer is what He was given us. What is it that we are offering, except that which He has given us?
  • His sacrifice is the only thing that’s going to save us.
  • Trust in the sufficiency of His blood.
  • There’s nothing we can do to make ourselves righteous, nothing we can do to make ourselves better in this flesh, but if we abide in Jesus we have His covering now.
  • How much do we really believe in Jesus?
  • The reason I fail is I’ve taken my eyes off Jesus and fell into unbelief. It’s no one’s fault but my own. There’s no where to turn except the gospel of Jesus Christ. Put your faith and trust back in the sufficiency of what He’s done for you.
  • Your own understanding is not true, the Word is true.
  • If I have faith in the Lord and what He can do no matter what comes my way it doesn’t matter, I can stand..
  • When you grab hold to that gospel and truly believe it, you’re not going to need anything because you’ll have everything you need.
  • Do you want the wisdom for yourself or to serve the Lord? Do you want to serve the Lord or serve satan?
  • Are you going to come honest and open before the Lord when we screw up and we fall? God hears honesty, Jesus hears honesty.
  • If you’re consistently trying to justify yourself, you don’t think you need the mercy and grace because you think you’re right.
  • Are you going to make Him Lord over your life? Put Him first in your life?
  • You will get everything you need if you have determined to go out and serve Him.
  • If you be in Christ Jesus you have overcome the world too.
  • We hold ourselves back from taking the good things of God.
  • We can listen to the Word, but if we don’t step out in faith and believe the Word, then it’s good for nothing.
  • If we don’t receive it, it’s our own fault.
  • Let Him do the work in our hearts. No matter how bad it feels because it’s good for us.
  • The Lord takes a thing that’s not good for us, apart from his righteousness that could send us to hell, gives us deliverance and teach us He’s trustworthy.
  • What’s righteous before the Lord is always righteous before the Lord. He doesn’t keep changing His mind and moving things around.
  • If I’m not being blessed in my deed, I’m doing something wrong.
  • Hear, receive, believe.
  • You can’t see the Lord showing up unless you step out in faith to prove His word.
  • If you think you don’t know what being a doer of the word means, get on your knees and ask Him to show you or go to your authority and ask them to show you.
  • He wants you to ask for it because it’s a position of humility and faith (you trust Him to deliver).
  • The devil has no standing if you’re the Lord’s.
  • Has the Word been mixed with faith in you?
