Subject:
- Those who were around when Lazarus was raised from the dead saw the power of God.
- We have been raised from the dead spiritually if we receive the Lord as our Lord and Savior.
- When we enter into the family of God we still have our nasty, dead mans clothes clinging to us. We have to get rid of that stinking dead mans clothing.
- Ask for what you need. Don’t hint around, don’t presume, ask directly for what you need.
- When someone brings something to you that you don’t like but they bring the truth, you need to receive it regardless of who brings it to you.
- Jesus’ responsibility was to show them the Father. If He had gone to Lazarus and healed him, He would not have been showing them the creator who loved him. Dead 4 days stink was not enough to keep someone in the grave if the Father called them out.
- If Jesus is the Lord of the way I feel, I’m going to feel differently – but I’m going to have to choose that.
- 1 Cor 10:13 is not a promise to keep us from being tempted, that is a declarative statement of God’s faithfulness. A way to escape that you may be able to bear it … we are called upon to agree with that.
- This is a challenge for us to change. If we come at it from any other perspective, we declare that Christ is unrighteous and He is not. We have to agree with it and believe that He knows what He is doing.
- Jesus is the Lord of the way I feel…. really? Phil 4:12 When I can agree with His Word “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” then you can see that the things you are going through are because you need it and you can minister to someone because of what you’re going through.
- I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me is a choice to believe and do His will. Do all things without murmurings and disputings is about trusting that the Lord does not give you more than you can handle and your experience of these things will bring out issues that need to be worked out of you and then can minister to others going through the same things.
