Last weeks message on the light bulb has more of a story to it… The light bulb is connected to a battery. That battery powers that light bulb and that battery is powered by prayer and reading the Word of God. If you allow bitterness or anger to creep in and do not use prayer and reading of the Word the light will get darkened, but if you use prayer and read the Word that dark paint will rub off of the light bulb.
You can not know how to extend Agape love (the love of choice) to others without first knowing Jesus Christ.
The only love you can receive from people who do not know Jesus Christ is phelios love (feelings based love).
We are called to be the body of Christ, joined together (glued together) by Agape love. If you lose or don’t exercise that Agape love, you lose the stickiness that binds you to the body of Christ.
As the body is pulled together, we have to go forth and demonstrate Agape love to those on the outside, because they will know you are His disciples by your love one for another.
We have to freely give Agape love which means extending grace, mercy, kindness as Christ has shown to us. We cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven holding a grudge or being full of bitterness, resentment, anger.
Who is your God? What is your God? Anything that is more important than God becomes your God.
Jesus is the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh to the Father but by Him.
Scripture to memorize: John 3:16-18. Preach the Gospel. Prefer another to yourself, do the commandment of Jesus. This shows Agape love, even though they may not know what that is.
