Having guests can be a blessing and you can be yourself. Others you have to pamper and entertain and that is tiring. When you are visiting with those of like mind and like faith, you have fellowship and share the love of the Lord and that is not a burden, that is food for your soul.
Be not afraid of the people who you are preaching to, rather concern yourself with pleasing the Father.
All power was given unto Jesus, not just some, but ALL!
If I be in Jesus and be part of the body of Christ, where is that power? It’s in me. If you be in the body of Christ, that power is in you.
Jesus is the head of the body. The head tells the body where to go, the ear to hear, the eyes to see, the mouth to speak.
Why are we “under the circumstances”? Do we not know that He has overcome the world? If we are in the body of Christ, we are above the circumstances of this world.
When asked what it means to be baptized, a child responded by saying “You’re going to drown me and I’m going to die” and he was willing to do that for Jesus Christ.
Baptism as mentioned in Matthew 28:19 “….baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:…” speaks of 3 baptisms.
- Baptism of the Father (which is blood) as it’s the Father who baptizes you in the blood of Jesus. The Father is the Savior, He is the one who gave Jesus as the sacrifice, the Father gave Jesus as the sacrifice and it’s through Jesus’ blood.
- The name of the Son is the Baptism of the Holy Spirit where Jesus is the baptizer.
- The name of the Holy Ghost is the Baptism of Water into the body of Christ for it is the Holy Spirit that baptizes you into the body of Christ.
Three baptisms – Blood, water and spirit baptisms. The 3 baptisms together are one. There are 3 that bear record in Heaven and there are 3 that bear record in the earth.
The three baptisms are the witness of the trinity in Heaven. If you receive the 3 baptisms, you testify of the trinity in Heaven. One God, not a panel of Gods. One God and His name is Jesus.
In the beginning was the Word … the Word is Jesus.
We are to teach that Jesus is Lord. We are to love one another, put others before ourselves, serve God.
When you get switched on by the Lord Jesus Christ, not a thing will switch you off, if it is a real switch.
Do not let fear keep you from preaching the Gospel.
Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. You have to be in Him and put your faith in Him in order to be strong in the Lord.
We were sold under the curse when we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior we are set free to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in our mind and our spirit that nobody can take away from you.
Stop thinking about the things that want to draw you down, selfishness and thinking about me, how I feel, how I am treated, what people think of me, but rather think about what Jesus Christ thinks of me.
Put on the whole armor of God. This is not YOUR armor, this is the armor of God! There is only 1 suit of armor and Jesus has it on, so how do you put it on? You put on Jesus.
That evil day is any time satan comes against you. Whether it be through so-called friends, people in the world, sickness but the way you stand is in Jesus.
Your loins is your girdle area. It’s embarrassing if you walk in public and your pants fall down. It’s just as embarrassing if you walk in public and have an opportunity to witness and you don’t know what to say.
Most of us don’t go forward and witness the Gospel because we are afraid.
Do you know that you can’t disappoint God? If you have received God as your Lord and Savior, you cannot disappoint Him because He loves you. You still make mistakes, but you are covered by the blood of Jesus and that is what the Lord sees.
When satan sees Jesus, instead of you because you are covered with the blood of Jesus, he gets scared and he flees.
Do you want to know how NOT to be ashamed, intimidated, embarrassed? 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
Study to shew yourself approved unto God does not mean you have to read all the commentaries available. You need to read the Word of God. In order to know the Lord, you need to read the book that has the Truth.
The devil makes people do things they don’t want to do, but God and His Holy Spirit will never make you do anything you don’t want to do. If you don’t want to witness, He won’t make you. If you don’t want to be healthy, He won’t make you healthy. If you don’t want to be selfless, He won’t make you selfless.
2 Timothy 3:7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. You have to get the Word of Truth in you before you can rightly divide it and get it to come out of you.
It does not matter if you don’t understand the Word, read it and allow the Lord to open your eyes to see and understand.
So maybe you don’t eat gobs and gobs of the Word at once, start with a little bit at a time and allow The Holy Spirit to open it to you. Your spirit will understand it and in time you will understand it too.
All things are possible to them that believe.
Not all of us are called to preach on a street corner. Do what God has given you to do.
You can’t get more in until you let some out.
