  • Richard D. Eutsler, Sr.
  • Scott Bishop

Scriptures used:

  • Matthew 13:1-4
  • Matthew 13:25-40
  • Genesis 4:1
  • Philippians 3:1
  • Hebrews 12:3
  • Hebrews 4:1

Subject:

  • The sower goes forth sowing not looking where the seed is falling, if it is ready or if it is worthy.
  • If it falls on rock it’s like the new Christian who has a party but the first sign of tribulation or a hard time, gives up because he has no root – you need faith to stand.
  • The seed among thorns start off good but their fruits become worthless – faith is choked.
  • Fear is care which is a noun.   There was a man who kept saying “take care” though Davy said “no thanks” every time.   Davy grew weary of saying “No thanks” and stopped and things got all wrong on the ranch until he said “No enough!” when things got better.
  • There is power in words, check your words.   Say what you mean to say!
  • The deceitfulness of riches is thinking money is going to solve all your problems.
  • Wheat is confident in God not in a church, parent etc.
  • Using your feet and/or your mouth to serve God is all you need; you do not need money to obey Him.
  • Wheat and the tares grow up together and their blades look the same until harvest when the wheat is golden and point upwards while the tares are purple and point downwards.
  • People ask why God has allowed things to happen, it is because it is not harvest time yet so they cannot be compared yet.
  • Cain & Abel Cain Was tare and Abel was wheat.   Tare chooses to destroy God’s wheat; tare has confidence in the flesh.   Hell is confidence in anything but Jesus.
  • Strength is in faith so endure hardship like a good soldier.   The angels are God’s army (soldiers).   We have power to become sons of God in other words, in God’s army.   Angels are called “sons of God”.  It is a 24 hours a day job which cannot be done sitting in a trench where you can’t see the enemy coming but face it and stand in the line of fire.
  • Adam was not created naked – he was found naked.   Jesus said consider the lilies of the field – which are clothed.   Adam became naked when he lost his righteous clothing God had given them, but Jesus got it back and now has two cloaks, God’s righteousness and man’s righteousness which he got when he had perfectly obeyed the Father, died on the cross, gone to hell for three days, was resurrected and went to heaven.   Jesus took back the righteousness of man and then went back into Heaven and took back the righteousness of God that was His from the beginning.  And now Jesus wearing two cloaks, the cloak of righteousness of God and the cloak of righteousness of man, when you receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior He sees your nakedness and the Word says in the law that if your brother is naked and you have 2 cloaks you’ve got to give him one.  Jesus isn’t going to give you the righteousness of man because that has to be earned through the law and no man can do that, only Jesus did that.  So He gives you something better … the righteousness of God.  You can only remain in that through faith in Jesus Christ.
