TFM-TexasSpeakers:

  • Richard D. Eutsler, Sr.
  • Scott Bishop

Scriptures used:

  • John 5:1-15
  • John 16:33
  • Romans 5:1-3
  • James 1:2-4

Subject:

  • We’re a bunch of whiners and complainers when things don’t go our way.
  • Look on Jesus because he is the healer, he knows our situation and asks one question, “Wilt thou be made whole?” We all need his help.
  • We can lose what God has given us and then something far greater can come upon us.
  • The church is told to preach to the lost so they can be found, to the sick that they may be well, to the withered that they may revive, to the depressed that they become joyful and to the oppressed that they may be set free.
  • Wilt thou be made whole?  Then take up your cross and follow Jesus.
  • Christians are a bunch of whiners and complainers. When things don’t go our way we try to find someone to blame it on.
  • What are you doing ‘under the circumstances’? God has overcome the world.
  • Two places mentioned in John 16:33: the first is the world.  When you look around you see the world.  In the world we will have tribulation because the earth is cursed. The second place is in Jesus where there is peace.  Where do you want to live? In tribulation or in peace?
  • Peace is the cessation of war, not fighting.
  • The best way to tell whether people are in the Lord or not is how they get along.
  • When you get stupid you want God’s grace on you.  How can you have it if you don’t give it?
  • Love, joy, peace, grace – treasures – things to covet.  How do you receive them? By storing them in heaven.  How do you do that? By extending them to others.
  • You have that peace because you know you have that grace.
  • When you fall into temptation, which is a type of tribulation, you have to exercise faith.  If you don’t fall you don’t have to exercise faith. By exercising your faith you gain patience.
  • What is patience’s perfect work?  When you come to the place where you stand in Him and are not moved.
  • Be comforted, be happy, be full of joy for Jesus has overcome the world and he has given us a way to be in Him. We are His body.  Live like you’re in His body. Stop living like the world.
  • Then the tribulation, which will come because you are of Him, will not bring you down. You will keep His joy and remain full of hope in Him.
