Subject:

  • We make mistakes and sin because of the sin nature in us (flesh) but through the love of Jesus we can be forgiven our sins.   We need to serve him and show our love by walking as He walked.   Bless you Lord, thank you Jesus.
  • Folks think: why even try when nobody notices?   But tiny steps are noticed and many tiny steps get there.
  • Oil and water don’t mix, they separate, nor do the Kingdom of God and the world mix.   We might need to be in the world but don’t need the world in us.   We are ambassadors for Christ, in the world.
  • The reading in Ephesians shows us where we stand in relation to the world.   We are citizens of God’s household and no longer citizens of this world but of the Kingdom of God working as His ambassadors in this world and as ambassadors we need to focus more on God and less on the world.   To do so effectively we need to really believe God and not just think that we do.
  • A pendulum shows the law of physics when swinging it it never returns to the same place as before.  Do we believe and stake our life on it or jump out the way “in case” despite thinking we believe?
  • Real Christians receive eternal life we must believe with a burning desire in our hearts to be with Jesus, knowing more about Him, seeking Him in our lives.   Too many Christian’s faith is like the kid at the end of the pendulum’s swing, they think they believe but when push comes to shove they get out of the way.
  • Peter told Jesus he would follow Him to death but denied Him three times, he thought he believed but when pushed, he collapsed like a house of cards.
  • We need to get it right as mighty ambassadors for Jesus, we can, and I hope we will do likewise.
  • The purpose of TFM is not to get a congregation of pew warmers but teach people to become ministers.   Melanie has shown this so today we recognize her as a Licensed Minister.
  • The law was given through Moses, grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
  • In the beginning when God created heaven and earth and created mankind and populated the earth, then he made a garden in the east named Eden and formed man called Adam who was in a state of innocence not knowing goodness or evil.  Then God put two trees in the garden, one was the tree of life, which was the gospel and truth.   It was Jesus.   The second tree was the tree of knowledge of good and evil which was the law and God told Adam he could eat of any tree but that one tree, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
  • When the time came that Adam was tempted of Eve why would he choose the tree of the knowledge of good and evil and not the tree of Life?   Why did he not choose the tree of life rather?   Every day we choose between those two trees, life or death, and most choose death which is a sad thing.
  • Abraham did not know the law, which had not been given yet, but lived by his conscience and God appeared to him and he believed God so God reckoned it to him as righteousness.  When you take of the tree of life it’s because you believe God.   When you take of the tree of knowledge of good and evil you don’t believe God.
  • Do you have faith?   I have faith and I believe.   I believe God is a healer and have seen Him heal many times.   When you get an illness or something what do you do?   Do you stand on that belief, do you walk in that belief or do you run to a doctor?   When you run to the doctor you are denying the truth, you are choosing the law over the truth.
  • The law was given to show us why we need Jesus; why we fall short of the glory of God.   The law does not give us the glory of God, it shines God’s light on us and shows us our sin and our nature to not believe. But when we receive Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior in totality and give our lives solely to Him, to believe on Him no matter what the circumstance, then we walk in that grace and that truth which is Jesus.
  • The grace is not so we can sin continually, but that through the truth, as the truth makes a home in you, you cease from sin and stop doing what you used to do.   God’s grace gives you a boot to get there; it carries you through rough seas and times to get to the other side.   It is not a party boat using an anchor where you started at, but transportation through the sea of life and through the dangers so as you go forward and you learn that truth that is in Him, you become more and more like Him.
  • You don’t get angry at the things you used to;  things you used to hate you now love;  things you used to love you now hate.
  • A guy said he got hit by a bus and was late for a party.   When he explained it he was not believed and they told him he didn’t look like he got hit by a bus.   When you are hit by a bus you don’t look the same there will be a change in you.   When you’re hit by the truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ and have received the fullness of Jesus and have given your life to Him and you still do and look and act like you did in the past.
  • Someone told Richard that he turned the person off.  Richard told him he didn’t turn him off, he’d never been turned on.   Once you get turned on by Jesus you don’t get turned off, it does not happen it’s like getting hit by a bus there’s a change, you are not the same.
  • But where the bus is unto death, when you get hit by the gospel, the truth, God’s grace, Jesus and the Holy Ghost there is a change in you.   You may not to look any better but you don’t want the same things you wanted before.   You change.
  • It has always been my message, my desire is that people receive the goodness that is of God.   It’s so easy – you’ve just got to decide you want it and then take it.   If you’re a married man and your wife does not want it you take it anyway.
  • Adam’s problem was he had a choice to stay right with God or do what the woman said and he did what woman said and we are all paying for it.   If Adam had really loved the woman and really cared for her he’d not have eaten it because remember nothing happened when she ate it.   It happened when he ate it.   There are men in this world and I’m sorry to say some even in this ministry are still letting the women rule over them, they’re letting their children oppress them and they’re destroying the ways of their paths.  Go read it in Isaiah 3: 12!
  • It is a simple way – choose between the law that Moses brought, or truth and grace that came by Jesus.
  • Who will you serve?
