Our life in the Lord is like an onion, as we learn to trust the Lord, the outside layers are discarded.
Be willing to endure chastening. It’s painful but if we don’t endure it we cause ourselves to be cut off from the body of Christ. Are we going to depart from the Lord, or let go of the things that are holding us back?
Christ didn’t save the onion, he came to save that which you cannot see.
Without me, ye can do nothing. Sounds like we need a lot of help.
Give your best and your best will get better.
Not everyone who say unto me Lord, Lord: He means those who claim to know the Lord.
The kingdom of God is here; the kingdom of heaven is where we may go to after death.
What is the will of the Father is important. You can call on Him all day but if you don’t know His will you won’t get anywhere.
Jesus only said what His Father told him to speak, He could do nothing of Himself.
He always knew His Father had a better idea than himself.
He preached in the temple at 12 and then went and was subject unto his parents. That is a very humble thing.
Jesus is the standard to compare ourselves to. Compare ourselves, is there a lot of stuff that needs to change?
The less is blessed of the better. Samuel was over Saul. Why? Because Samuel was whom God had chosen, he was over every priest, every Levite, every king.
Saul doesn’t hear God speaking to him, he hears Samuel. He is told to smite Amalek, and leave nothing. Saul took the king alive, and also the best of the flock. Was that obedience?
Saul did evil in the sight of the Lord. He thought he was doing pretty good. He blamed others for his disobedience.
Obey: Jesus said if ye love me, keep my commandments. It has zero to do with how you feel about a person. The church today is full of feelings. In the military the things you are asked to do you would rather not do.
Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft and stubbornness as iniquity and idolatry.
Choose to join with Him. How to do this? Do what He says!
