Scriptures used:
- Psalm 25
- Revelation 12:11
- James 4:1
Subject:
- When you get down, don’t sink into the mire, but read the Word.
- The accuser stands before God and accuses the saints each day. Our flesh is part of this world. He tells us that we are a fraud, it is a battle to believe the Lord. We have to come back to Jesus. We have an advocate with the Father.
- No matter what goes through your mind, we should go to Jesus. Choose to put your eyes on Him.
- Learning to lean: stepping out of faith in ourselves and what we can do, and put confidence and faith in what He can and has done.
- David was victorious in extraordinary manners.
- David begged God to show him His ways.
- If you think you’re a fraud, do you know who is not a fraud?
- James is speaking to believers when he talks about wars and lusts being in your members. All of us have these things. They are in operation every single day. Those lusts are contrary to the Lord.
- We lust to have things and don’t get them and think we deserve better and should have them.
- We have to ask. Our Father in Heaven is able to do all these things.
- The next thing we do is we are wrong in our asking. We are convinced that we are right.
- We want people to either fear us, love us, like us, give us money, think we’re great, depending on the individual. It comes down to what WE want. We cannot love anyone because we’re too hung up on what’s reflected on us and what they think of us. It is no longer about serving the Lord at that point.
- The friend of the world is the enemy of God. The churches out here are all about making the people happy and attracting people to them, not about ministering the love of Jesus Christ.
- All religion is adultery against God.
- The friend of the world is the enemy of God. The churches out here are all about making the people happy and attracting people to them, not about ministering the love of Jesus Christ.
- All religion is adultery against God.
- If your will is to be the friend of the world, you ARE the enemy of God.
- If we will choose to love Him and trust Him, then we no longer have to be subject to these lusts.
- If we will choose to love Him and trust Him, then we no longer have to be subject to these lusts.
- Why does He give more grace? Because we absolutely need it!
- Why does He give more grace? Because we absolutely need it!
- In Psalm 25 we saw King of Israel whose humility was deep and entire, no confidence in himself. He never thought anything he did was any good. He asked the Lord to pardon his iniquity and teach him God’s ways.
- Submit yourself therefore to God: John was a witness to the Word of God. And the Word of God came down and became man amongst us and died on the cross to save us from all our sin.
- If you want to learn to submit yourself unto God, open this bible and submit unto what this Word says, and you resist the devil.
- You submit your day unto the Lord.
- It doesn’t matter what I want to do. So we seek Him.
- Do we want the friendship of the world, or the Lord first? If we voluntarily choose to serve God, can’t we see our children being able to do the same?
- You’re not wrestling against the person before you, but the devil who is operating behind them.
- How do you resist? You ask the Lord to shew you His ways and teach you His paths.
- He knows perfectly how to fix these things. Go to Him with them, and do not let those things coming against you overtake you.
- He resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble.
- When the devil flees from you, you will be FREE!
- Draw nigh to God – is when you seek God.
- When you read the Word and seek to conform your life to it, you will draw nigh to Him, and He will draw nigh to you!
- Be afflicted and mourn and weep: We don’t want to volunteer for that, but that double minded is about wanting the things of the world and the things of God.
- Do we really want the things of the Lord first, or are you just saying so? We will find out.
- Affliction and mourning is lamenting the life you had denied yourself because you say you want to serve the Lord and you look back and start thinking God is a fraud, not you. And it hurts because He hasn’t been doing what you wanted Him to do.
- If God took his orders from us, it would be pretty ugly.
- Pride is thinking God is the problem. Humility is thinking we are the problem.
- Pride is everywhere! David asked the Lord to pardon his iniquity.
- Good and upright is the Lord, therefore He will teach sinners in the way. We qualify as the sinners.
- Nothing you have ever done disqualifies you for being taught in the way.
- Lord, teach me how to resist the devil, help me to show Your love unto other people.
- He has not cast us out, but how quickly we throw others out and not give them that same hope that we have.
- Speaking evil of your brother is making yourself better than them: Pride! Once again!
- You can’t lift yourself up. You can’t. You need Him to lift you up.
- Humble yourself, choose to believe God. It is not comfortable, hurts a lot of times because iniquity is being ripped out of you. Pride is the thing that made you feel good before. It is all vanity.
- As the process goes on, we need God.
- He that hath suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin. That’s what it looks like.
