Subject:
- Put your eyes on the Lord when you get up in the morning. There is joy in the Lord.
- It’s not about us, it’s about Him, ask Him forgiveness and make it about Him.
- Ask the Lord to use us to glorify Him. To bring people to share the Word with Him.
- Do everything heartily as unto the Lord.
- Each of us is guilty of the death of Christ. He came from the heaven to earth to show the way, from the earth to the cross, MY debt to pay. He had to die on the cross for me, and every single one of us.
- Jesus knows what it is to be alienated from God. When He was on the cross, He was separated from God and had to believe God. He came out of that grave and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
- The people had a change of heart. But they didn’t continue with the Apostles and Jesus.
- If you are a believer, are you not moving forward?
- In the midst of the “same old” day, “same old” job, “same old” family, doesn’t get it done.
- We read in John 15 how without Him we can do nothing. The “same old” is the nothing.
- We are fully capable of that and demonstrate it over and over again. Is that the life of a Christian? No, it is the new life divine. That is the promise of God to each and every one of us.
- He wants us to receive good food so we can go forward and minister in His stead. So what difference does it make about us?
- Paul accepted responsibility to walk in Christ’s ways so that the people could see the way. Paul learned that way and walked in that way. Didn’t matter if people thought he was of the devil, whether or not he had anything, his ways were in Christ.
- Timothy clave unto Paul and learned His ways from Paul and made known unto the others God’s ways.
- There is anarchy in the church. The reason you have ten thousand instructors is that they don’t think they have anything to learn. That is called pride.
- In Paul and Timothy you see that rarity, that one in 10,000. Think of the territory in which they covered. In the ancient world there was quite a population in that big area. There was only one man likeminded with Paul, that was Timothy.
- People don’t want to serve the Lord, they want to do their own things.
- The Lord commands us to love our wives, because it is natural to love ourselves instead.
- The men wouldn’t go to church themselves, but sent their wives and children. They didn’t even realize that it was their own fault.
- If you do what the Lord commands, you will show your wife the way.
- You will accept responsibility and walk out the Lord’s way so your children can see it.
- Do you want the Kingdom of God to be manifest to those who say “same old” every day?
- They will either turn to the Lord or reject the Lord, but it won’t matter to you which they choose.
- We want to show the Kingdom of God to people every day. If you don’t you should not be deterred, not at all. We can’t disappoint God, but He knows how we are, He doesn’t reject us. Don’t get hung up on it. We can please Him. Ask Him to forgive you and turn to want to do what He has for us to do.
- In our failings, when the Kingdom of God is manifest to people, it gives other sinners, people who recognize they are sinners, a hope. Notwithstanding all your failures, God has kept us to this day.
- If we will humble ourselves instead of being hung up about how terrible we are, we will say how wonderful God is!
- Where sin abounds, grace aboundeth more.
- If you have the right perspective, the glory goes to the Lord. His grace has kept us and sustained us right through the present day.
- The Lord has kept us through some really wonderful things – sorrow turning to joy.
- Are you willing to submit yourself wholeheartedly unto God?
- People don’t want to forgive one another, they want to hold it against them, because it justifies themselves.
- If you wait for somebody else to do what the Lord would have you do, you won’t get a single thing done.
- Make every single thing in your life about Him. Then you can be a father, a minister, you will look like that early church. An environment in which He is reigning. If Christ is reigning in your heart, you will see the evidence of it.
- When we accept the responsibility, is it going to lead others into temptation? Is it going to deliver others from evil? What did we see over and over again with David? David prayed and asked the Lord, should I go up to Keilah? (1 Sam 23). The Lord said to go up. The Lord worked through that situation.
- If we wait for people to do good to us, we’re never going to serve God. The nature of God is what the man of God should be like.
- There is no consequence of people rejecting or accepting us. But if by contrast they are accepting or rejecting God, that is a difference.
- Read Luke 11 and 1 Corinthians 4. May the Lord give us understanding of this so we can go forward in our Lord Jesus Christ, and not continue the “same old”.
