  • 1 Peter 3:1-2
  • Matthew 18:6
  • Luke 18

Subject:

  • Romans 13 is one of the most misunderstood chapters of the Bible.
  • The higher powers spoken of in Romans 13 are the higher powers in the Lord, His line of authority.  We are to be subject, obedient to them.  It is not speaking of the earthly government.
  • To be subject to something means to put off anything of ourselves and choose those who have the rule over us:  to be under, obedient, to submit oneself unto.  Entrust ourselves to the care of them over us.
  • God’s higher powers have been put here to perfect us.
  • This world is satan’s kingdom, if we are God’s we reside in God’s Kingdom, even here as we walk on this earth.
  • If we want to know the truth, the Lord will give it to us.  We have a responsibility to choose God over all else.
  • Pay tribute (tithes) to those who minister to us, recognizing them as God’s ministers.
  • One thing we do owe is to love one another.
  • It’s time to take God seriously, walk honestly as in the day and from the heart.
  • God’s ways are offered to us and they are there for the taking.
  • It’s high time to get this right.
