Subject:

• Abiding in Him, being nourished in Him, doing His will and what he would have us do. We can and will bear fruit if we abide in Him.  The fruit is love: to love God and to love one another.
• The peace and fellowship that comes through the Gospel.
• Without Him we can do nothing, the high mindedness of the world says we can do things but the truth is that without Him we can do nothing.
• Loving one another and bearing fruit. Letting not one day go by when we do not praise and worship Him.  It gets harder to come back to Him if we fall away.
• Recognizing the Lord’s blessings and answers to prayer.  Being thankful to God.
• How often we blame God.
• We don’t look for things we don’t think are lost.  Are we sure that we have diligently sought God even as the woman who lost a piece of silver and sought till it was found.  Finding out His will and thanking Him.
• The lie of ‘once saved always saved’.
• They will know we are His disciples by our love.  By love we demonstrate who Jesus is.
• The Lord purifying us so that all our faith is in Him.
• We all have the same amount of faith.  We need to have all of it in the Lord, it is purified then and we can minister the Gospel purely.
• We need to become teachers, redeeming those things of the past using them to encourage others to put their faith in the Lord because we understand, we have been through it.
• Seed and the sower, how many times have we been the ones in the weeds?  The Lord sends those to us who can help us be weeded.  We are to do the same.  This is what the disciples did taking their experience with the Lord and passing it on to others.
• How many times have we been that person needing guidance and the Lord sent someone to give it.  Our job is to go forth, de-weed and strengthen people.  We are coming to a point when we need to stand and go forth because the trying of the faith of the people is going to happen.  We are going to be able to say I have been there, I have done that.  It has been done for us and we need to do it for others.
• The Thessalonians believed the Gospel Paul brought and they feared God.  Because of this they were watchful.
• The testimony of our election of God and our fear of God out of which is born obedience to the Word, hope in the Word and adherence to the Word.
• He has been about bringing us to that place where we believe Him and by faith serve Him.
• The time we live in it is like unto when Jesus walked – amongst a people who have largely rejected the truth.
• It is our choice to receive the love of the truth that we might be saved.
• God wants us to believe the truth.  He has given each of us what we need to elect Him as our God and to serve Him and it is by fear of Him that we will do this.
• What a mighty hope we have in Christ Jesus to come under His Lordship and serve Him.  We have the opportunity in Him to become vessels of honor for Him.  We want to be that second born who dies to the first born which is our natural man and become that second born raised up in Christ Jesus.
