Scriptures used:
- Psalm 19
- John 4
Subject:
- If your life is not one that is filled with the joy of the Lord, then why do you think anyone would want what you’ve got.
- The Word of God creates order and explains why things are going on the way they are. In so doing it converts the soul.
- What it means to be “poor” in spirit and how Jesus was the most perfect example of such a person. See Matthew 5:3 & John 4:34. Like the horse this poor in spirit, whose life is dedicated to doing his master’s will, so Jesus was dedicated to doing His Father’s will.
- Cleansing us from secret faults and keeping us from presumptuous sins (i.e. pride) are key elements to walking the walk of faith.
- The Samaritan woman at the well is just another example of how Christ does not withhold any good thing from anyone who repent and receive the gift of salvation by way of Jesus’ sacrifice for us. His blood is the only entry requirement and it is available to the thief on the cross next to him (Luke 23:39-43), those who crucified him (see Acts 2 – 3), the Samaritan woman who had been married 5 times and the man she was with was not her husband.
