TFM-Northfield-VermontSpeakers:

  • Steven Atherton
  • Charles Hocker

Scriptures used:

  • John 16:31-33
  • Hebrews 6
  • Hebrews 11:6

Subject:

  • We are going to have tribulation in the world.   In the body of Christ, we are corrected by the brethren and that is the good thing that we need.
  • We in the body of Christ are in a tumbler to “polish” one another and bring one another into line with what the Lord will have us do.
  • The narrow winding path to eternal life gives us hope when we put off the flesh and choose to go the Lord’s way.  The Lord gives us the will, we need to choose.
  • Our flesh is never going to agree with the Lord.  Our flesh will not be pleased with the way the Lord corrects us, but it is needful for us to receive that correction.  It is a joy to our soul and spirit.
  • This is a process that goes on throughout our lives.
  • The only way to please the Lord is through our faith in Him.   We must believe that He is.
  • He is the only one who can search the hearts of the people we are ministering to; that is why we don’t rely upon our own understanding but trust Him to give us the words to speak.
