Subject:
- The song from Casting Crowns “Voice of Truth”. Oh what I would do to have the kind of faith it takes to climb out of this boat I’m in onto the crashing waves to step out of my comfort zone, to the realm of the unknown where Jesus is and He’s holding out his hand. But the waves are calling out my name and they laugh at me, reminding me of all the times I’ve tried before and failed, the waves they keep on telling me time and time again, “Boy, you’ll never win!”, “You’ll never win”. But the voice of truth tells me a different story!
- We have to listen to Jesus, who is the voice of Truth, not listen to the doubt that comes into our mind.
- Do you have the faith to step out of the boat and step on the rough waves?
- If you did, would you start to doubt or would you keep your focus on the Lord standing before you?
- How many times do we step out in faith and a voice in our head says you’re crazy or it won’t work?
- If we believe God is with us we should never turn back, or look down, we should always go forwards.
- It’s a fight, we need to battle and keep our eyes on Him.
- We have examples in the Word of people who walked by faith, we need to follow that example and do likewise.
- As David fought a giant (Goliath), we face giants in our mind. Through Jesus, we can defeat them as David defeated Goliath.
- We do not find joy in the menial tasks. But if we are doing it as unto the Lord, we will find joy in it.
- You cannot let anything distract you from that which the Lord would have you do.
