TFM-TexasSpeakers:

  • Richard D. Eutsler, Sr.
  • Scott Bishop
  • Bob Hicks
  • Melanie Bishop

Scriptures Used:

  • John 1:17
  • Romans 5:6-21
  • Acts 1:4-8

Subject:

  • As a believer we should check our hearts daily to see where we stand with the Lord.
  • We need to share the Gospel, with everyone we run across, that Jesus Christ died for their sins so they would have a chance to enter into Heaven.
  • Amazing Grace.  What is grace?  Do we understand it?
  • We know Grace came by Jesus Christ.  Grace is unmerited favor – we do not earn it (by being a “good” person), it is undeserved.  Grace is free, unmerited love and favor of God.
  • Jesus was perfect and came to this earth as the perfect, spotless sacrificial lamb.  Imagine having God always be with you and to save all those who are to have an opportunity to enter Heaven.  Would you be nailed to a cross, hung up there, be mocked and scorned, for sinners, for those who hate you, for your enemies?
  • Most of us would not do what Jesus did.  The reason He did it was for us to have the choice to choose to serve God.  That is not an absolute, that is a choice He allowed us by dying on the cross for us.  We have to choose to receive that sacrifice.
  • Don’t let that grace pass you by, remember what Jesus did and receive His sacrifice for your sins so that you can repent and choose life.
  • When Jesus came down and gave His life that each and every one of us might live, He also said there would be a comforter with us.  The Holy Ghost.
  • Jesus wants His people to have power, to be overcomers.  Because of the Holy Ghost we have power over sickness and all that the enemy has thrown at us.
  • When you get a new gadget, for example an iPad or iPhone, you know it can do simple tasks, but you become aware that it is able to do much more than you actually use it for.  At this point you may ask people for help on doing more with your gadget, you may even use the users manual.  A big mistake most people make after receiving the Gospel is to just sit and wait and not use the manual (the Bible) and not seek counsel (from those in authority) and do not go into the world to preach the Gospel.
  • If we obey Him, the Lord can move and work in every situation and we can see what He can do.  If we wait to see if we have the power, you’ll never get there.
  • Jesus came for us to have life and have it more abundantly.  If we are His, we have the power to overcome the thief who comes to kill, steal and destroy.
  • Jesus paid the price for every single one of us, regardless of what we have done.  Are you going to receive that and go forward or wait until you feel like it’s been paid?
  • Where sin abounds, grace can much more abound if you let it and then believe and GO YE, don’t SIT YE.
  • The Acts of the Apostles would never have been written if they had sat and waited upon the Lord to move … they acted and walked by faith.
  • Brother Davy said “I hate religion”.  Religion always makes me feel bad.  I can never attain to what it requires.  I can never perform what religion requires of me.  And therefore it brings nothing but misery.  But I’ve found a relationship with the maker of heaven and earth, with God almighty, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, His name is Jesus.  I found a relationship with Him and when I found that relationship He took away all of my sin, all of the condemnation.  He took it all away and He allowed me now to stand in joy and thanksgiving because I know through His Word that my faith in Him and the work that He did, all is accomplished.  He accomplished what I could not and then gave it to me as a free gift.  How can you beat that?  So if you’re still trying to balance religion in your life and you’re miserable and condemned and all that, throw it away.  Embrace that relationship of love and joy and grace that Jesus Christ has for you.
