Subject:

  • There is nothing more important than the love of God.  The divine love of God.  Without it, nothing else matters.  Preferring others over ourselves and looking out for the needs of others before self.  It is the love of choice.
  • Extend love, mercy, and grace unto others as God has abundantly extended these things unto you.
  • Ministering to others involves action more often than words.  Showing people the love of the Gospel is more effective than speaking words.  Action is something that people can see.  Seeing is believing to most people.
  • We have no excuse for not walking as Jesus walked.  God has given us a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind.  God gave us everything we need to walk in righteousness.  We must choose to use what He gave us.
  • You cannot grab onto the new life that is in Christ Jesus if you refuse to let go of your old life.  The two will not operate together.  Jesus died on the cross to give us the opportunity to have that new life in Him and for eternal life.
  • Two people can perform the same action.  One can be doing it in pride to exalt themselves before men and to look good, while the other can be doing it with humility unto the Lord not looking for the praise of men.  Motive behind our actions means a lot.  God will not honor pride.
  • Don’t expect a pat on the back or “extra credit points” for doing what Jesus commanded us to do.  You simply did what you were supposed to do.  Consider yourself as an unprofitable servant anyway.  There is nothing special about you.  You would not have been able to do it in the first place if it weren’t for Jesus.
  • A minister of Jesus will lead people to JESUS.  Not to themselves or to anything else.
  • God will receive a person just as they are.  Doesn’t matter what they wear or how they act or what they have or don’t have.  We as believers ought to treat people in the same manner.  Regardless of the “condition” a person may be in, they have the right to have the chance to know Jesus.
