Subject:

  • God is good! That is the proper attitude to have at all times. God gets so much blame all the time because things are bad in the world. It is not Gods fault. People make their choices to do what they do and God does not interfere with free choice. God gave us free choice to choose Him. Unfortunately people choose otherwise and the world is a mess because of it. Without free choice we would have to be robots. God did not want robots. He wanted a living being that would freely choose to love Him. God is good! He has done everything possible for us to live well and free and joyful for the whole world. Mostly, He gave us His word ( the instruction book to a good life ). God is not the bad guy because people don’t want to follow the instructions.
  • Jesus took the victory on the cross. The war has already been won. He took the authority over death But, we do need to fight our own battles.
  • To receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior is the only requirement needed to partake in His victory.
  • Bad things happen when we move out from underneath Gods covering.  A common way this happens is when we choose other gods.  God will not honor that. Another god can be a large variety of different things. It is idolatry. Any person, place, thing, or idea that you hold more important than God is idolatry.
  • God is merciful and forgiving because He knows that, as people, we are not wrapped too tight. We are wretched sinners right out of the womb that are incapable of doing anything good in the natural flesh. God knows this and gives us grace and mercy and forgiveness anyway to cover these things because He is GOOD!
  • Pride and self righteousness and self justification are all driven by selfishness (root word being SELF). often our motives behind asking the Lord for something is selfish and is for our own lusts. That is why we do not receive what we ask for. Our motivation matters.
  • Be grateful and thankful for the correction God brings to you when you are wrong in your words or actions. Like when a father corrects a child when they do wrong. It’s so they learn to do right so they don’t grow up to be rotten brats. God corrects because He is a loving father and wants to see you get it right with Him so you can stand in His kingdom and not be a brat. A brat won’t stay very long.
  • There is no darkness In God. He is only light. The light of men and the light of the world. The children of Israel that Moses led out of Egypt did not get that concept. They fell into unbelief and would not trust God and therefore did not enter into the promised land.
  • The evil that we put on to God and other people is really our own evil. Because of pride we will look to justify ourselves and blame anyone we can when things go bad. The love of God thinketh no evil and doesn’t put it on other people.
  • Bring every thought to the obedience of Christ. Make your thoughts about doing what Jesus would have you do.
