Subject:
- As we walk in this world we gather a lot of garbage that causes grief, worry, fear and so on. Jesus can, will, and wants to shed those things off us so we can be free of them. Receive Him and allow Him to do that for you.
- If we abide in Christ we ought to be walking as He walked. Are you really learning to walk as He walked when attending church services? Is that what’s being taught? Are you doing that, if it is taught? If you’re not doing it His way you’re doing it the wrong way.
- The Syrophenician woman in Mark 7 and the Centurion in Matthew 8 really show what being humility looks like. Jesus even marveled at the faith of the centurion and said He had not found so great of faith even in Israel. The Centurion, who was a Roman soldier, had greater faith than the Jews who were Gods people.
- The Pharisees were so self-righteous and important in their own minds that Jesus spent His time with the publicans and sinners. Those who recognized they were sinners and were in desperate need of Jesus are the one’s Jesus spent His time with. He did not waste His time hanging out with those who were of pride and thought highly of themselves.
- A servant is not greater than his master. Jesus washed the feet of His disciples to show us how to serve. Washing the dirt and crud off their feet, that is what a minister is to do, symbolically, to provoke others to love and good works.
- Be an example of obedience and faithfulness and commitment. Be that example of what it is to be a minister. This is what Paul was telling Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:12.
- Jesus was the example left to us that we should follow in His steps.
- It is of our nature to do what we want to do and not what the Lord would have us do. Labor to do what is of His good pleasure, and it is God which worketh in you to will and to do of His good pleasure. Ask God for help in these matters if this is not happening in your life.
