Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.
Unlike Saul, David repented before God recognizing his own fault and not blaming others.
If you have a clean heart, then everything of this world becomes of no effect.
People resist the changing of their heart.
God gave Saul a new heart and yet he kept going back to the lust of the flesh, which is the will to justify oneself.
Lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life.
In Psalm 73:1 it talks about how God is good to those with a clean heart. This means you go before God and get cleansed by the Word.
Heat applied to metals pulls the impurities to the surface, where the crud can be pulled out easily. We should thank God for the heat.
You don’t have to take a bullet to show me that you love me. You just have to love me when I’m unloveable.
