TFM-TexasSpeakers:

  • Steve Atherton
  • Bob Hicks

Scriptures Used:

  • James 5:16
  • James 2:23
  • John 15:1
  • 2 Chronicles 7:14

Subject:

  • What keeps many of you from walking in the Lord is that you try to conform your flesh to the Word of God.
  • Your flesh will never change.  You can not serve the Lord in your flesh.
  • The new man is not subject unto the curse, it is perfect and came from God, so when you’re born again and receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior that new man is born again.
  • That new man which is renewed in knowledge after God, after His Word, is created to walk in God’s Word.  100% of it’s purpose is to walk in His Word.  That’s why you can do it.
  • It was imputed unto him for righteousness – the righteous one is one who chooses to bind himself to God and believe God and not give place to any other thing.
  • You can not grab hold of Him and try to hold tight to your own life and desire those things that are pleasing to your flesh.
  • God is never going to exalt you in your flesh.
  • 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
  • To humble yourself takes some tenacity, and it’s a lonely road.
  • Confess before the Lord that you are bound up in your flesh and your old man.  Without Him you can do nothing.
