• Desire to be caught being a faithful servant.
• The beginning of wisdom and knowledge is the fear of God.
• Are you willing to put on Christ’s garment?
• You are worthless but Christ is bigger than that.
• Fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.  Saul blamed the people, David blamed himself.
• To obey is better than sacrifice.

• To hate your brother, mother etc means to prefer God over all others.

• Contrite heart means you choose to stay humble.
• David recognized his transgression, he didn’t seek to pass the blame.  He sought to make things right with the Lord, knowing he was accountable.  David didn’t care if he was king or not, he didn’t care about the consequences, he just didn’t want the Lord to leave him.
• It’s not about the show, but about obedience.
• A contrite heart is someone who understands the humble place they are in and chooses to stay there rather than venture off and entertain their own will.
