  • Ephesians 4:11-12

Subject:

  • Distractions push in different directions and we can allow things to make us wonder or doubt.   We need to learn to rebuke them quickly.
  • The Word of the Lord is true and can be seen around us.
  • Satan, the deceiver, tries to win over new Christians, children, who have just come in. They do not know the Word , they need to study it.   Ministers need to use the Bible when talking to them. None of us want to be a stumbling block to them.   It takes encouragement, it takes faith on our part to help them grow and become followers of Jesus Christ.
  • The Nobleman is upbraided for his unbelief. He took it to heart and believed and his son was healed. He then knew it was the same hour that Jesus said, “thy son liveth”, and both he and his house believed. In contrast when Jesus spoke to the Centurion whose servant was sick he said he had not seen such faith in Israel (Luke 7).
  • Smith Wigglesworth said:  “God said it, I believe it, and that settles it!”   Isn’t that what we should do?
  • What does God have to say to you about your heart, about your life, your plans, do you know?   Have you asked Him?
  • If we want to follow Jesus we have to get instruction from Him so that we can carry it out. We have to get in the Word, we have to pray, we have to go to our disciplers for help.  We have to seek out what the Lord would have us do in every situation.
  • It is best to do whatever it takes to get the answer you need from God.  When you get it, it may not be what you had hoped for.  It is not about what you think, you need to set  your feelings aside and move forward in faith trusting Him regardless what you think or what others say.
  • Saul (Paul) asked God, “Lord, what wilt though have me to do?” Paul’s plans and desires did not matter, as soon as he was willing to yield to Jesus then he was in a spot where God could work with him.
  • Do you want healing, do you want to serve Him, do you desire what the Lord has for you?   Do you desire to get it right?   Nothing stops you but your unwillingness to yield to God.
  • God wants obedience. As soon as we yield to God then we will see His power manifest in our life, we will see his power manifest in the lives around us.  We need to get to that place where we say, “Lord, what wilt you have me to do?”
  • Let go of your own ways, lay it down and move forward in Him.
  • If you really want to see things start happening, it is so simple to get it right.
  • The Lord said,  “Arise and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.”   Jesus did not tell him what to do except go into the city. He had one of His servants go and tell him what to do.   Are you willing to be that way?
  • Most Christians when you say the Lord told me to tell you this they say, “I have to go and ask God” not realizing they are bypassing Jesus himself, their pride putting them on a higher plane than Jesus. Jesus is the mediator between God and man.
  • We know God has set up a line of authority.  It is like in the military.
  • A lieutenant tells you to do something you don’t say you will go check with the General, or an E-4 in the navy tells you to go swab that deck, you don’t say you will check with the Admiral.
  • We are the body of Christ, we are designed in that body to wear God’s armour therefore are soldiers and need to learn to act, live, talk and be like soldiers.   The first place it starts is in the line of authority and listening to those that God has put over you, to do as they say.   If they get it wrong God will take care of it because you’re trusting in God through Jesus Christ.
  • That’s how easy it’ll be.
