Subject:
- Looking back at the last 5 years of your walk with the Lord, do you see any change? Have you moved forward and increased in your walk? If not, the good news is that you can still change that today.
- You will not be and cannot be a disciple of Jesus if you put anybody before Him as being more important. Jesus must be more important to you and first in your life above all things and people.
- Even when you fall or turn away from the Lord you can repent and turn back to Him. God will be glad to see back. ( Read Luke chapter 15 about the prodigal son.)
- Don’t wait to repent! Turn back to the Lord as soon as you realize you are falling away. He will be there to meet you.
- Anger will turn into bitterness and it’s an attitude that will cripple you. You will start to say hateful things to people and condemn them and that is not the righteousness of God and you cannot abide with Him in that.
- Even when we are angry with a person, if we choose to love them and put them before ourselves, there would be no bitterness or contention within your heart.
- If you love yourself more than others you will fail to tell them the truth and the consequences of that may send them to hell.
- Allow Jesus to set you free from all things that keep us in bondage. We are in bondage to more things than we realize. Turning to Jesus will set you free. That is the beautiful thing of the Gospel. We tend to hold on to the bondage instead of moving forward with God. It is the wicked nature of man.
- Our carnal is at enmity with God. Completely contrary to God. That is why we must put the carnal man to death before we can receive the fullness of what God has for us.
