Subject:
- If you want the Lord to move in your life, it will only happen by faith. You must believe God and His Word. If you don’t believe Him why would you think that you would see anything happen. God will not honor unbelief.
- The carnal man will never believe God. You must fight against the flesh to choose to believe Him. That fight of belief vs. unbelief takes place in our minds. You decide which way you want to take. It is a decision that anyone can make.
- Looking at Hebrews ch.11, Read about the men and women throughout scripture who had great faith and what God was able to do with them and how the mighty works of God through them led to amazing things being done that still profit us today, simply because they believed His Word.
- In Psalms 48 vs 2 it says “Beautiful for situation”, God is beautiful for any situation we find ourselves in because God is the one who has an answer and can provide a way out for us when there doesn’t look like there is any way out. Put your faith in Him regardless of how things look.
- By believing God you are in a place to have your faith strengthened. The trying of your faith worketh patience. Your faith will be tried by tribulations and when you see God move to bring you out of those tribulations over and over and over again, you build up faith and a trustworthiness toward God that grows.
- Humble yourself before the mighty hand of God. Don’t walk in pride (arrogance) and allow someone else the chance to humble you because that is humiliation and you will not like that at all.
- Bring all your concerns, cares, worries, and fears to God because he cares for you and does not want to see you in bondage to these things and wants to deliver you from them as a loving Father would want to do for his children. God does not bring these on you, God is the loving Father who takes them away.
- You cannot disappoint God. God already knows what He is working with; a sinner with a wicked heart by nature. God doesn’t expect great things from us because we are unable to do anything great of ourselves. It is only by His power and might that anything great happens. We are nothing without Him and He already knows that, so how could He be disappointed in us. We can only please Him when we do those things that glorify Him.
- King David was guilty of shedding innocent blood but David wasn’t concerned about what the people or the law thought about it. He was only concerned about what God thought about it. David was willing to face whatever consequences came to Him but what was important to him was getting the situation and himself right with God. We all do stupid things that make us wonder later on where our head was at, God’s not surprised at that, but what God is looking for in a person when these things happen is repentance and a heart that is wanting nothing else but to make it right with Him. That is the place where His grace and mercy and forgiveness can come upon us.
