Subject:

  • Regardless of how people treat you or react to your presence it is important to remember that you still need to be in a place of delivering the truth to them. That is the agape love ( the love of God ) that we ought to be operating in at all times.
  • To be poor in spirit is to have a humble attitude that you are aware of how much you are in need of God’s mercy and that you are no better than anybody else and you have no business thinking highly of yourself.
  • You will not receive anything of the Lord if you are standing in pride, thinking that you can do everything on your own and you have no need of God. Truth is, you can do nothing without God. You wouldn’t wake up in the morning if God did not allow you to have a heartbeat. God’s grace upon you is the only reason you get to live another day.
  • If you have been around someone who has shown you what it is to walk in faith and you have witnessed the power of God working through a person you will have NO excuse for not learning to do the same when you stand before the Lord on your day. Once you have seen the Lord move in your own life and you ignore it, you have made a choice to reject God. You are accountable because you know better whereas before you knew, you were in ignorance.
  • Many people say that they want the kind of faith that others had throughout scripture, the mighty men and woman of God who learned to walk in that great faith. But, people don’t want to go through the tribulations they went through that taught them how to do it. If you want to learn how to walk in faith, you’re going to have to go through the hard things that will get you there.
  • You must prefer God over everybody else if you are going to be a disciple of Jesus. That means choosing God even over your own family.
  • Seeking God and His righteousness is the first thing on the list to do. Everything else falls into place.
  • As you experience the trustworthiness of the Lord over and over again you grow and develop in the ability to walk in more, trust that the Lord will do what he says, He will do. Ask and ye shall receive.
