TFM-Hour-of-TruthSpeakers:

  • Paul Muller
  • Phillip Walthall

Scriptures used:

  • Colossians 3:3-4
  • James 2:18
  • Ephesians 3:14-21
  • Psalms 51
  • 1 John 1:3
  • Philippians 2:12

Subject:

  • The celebration of the resurrection of Christ is a daily celebration. Many people don’t think much about it except during Easter. The problem is that Easter is an old pagan celebration that dates back thousands of years and has nothing to do with Jesus.
  • Jesus who is our life, is the only hope in having life. This flesh of ours is going right back into the ground from which it came because it is corrupt. You can’t save it or fix it all you can do is train it not to respond to the leadership of the flesh but the leadership to the Spirit. For our life is hid with Christ in God. That is where we get our righteousness from. It is not our own. It is where we can partake of His mercy, grace, and love and then be able to pass it on to others.
  • Imagine how different the world would be if people had the desire to go after the things of God with as much diligence as we go after the things of the world which in the end doesn’t amount to anything anyway. (Fame, fortune, and glory) You can’t take it with you.
  • Faith is shown by works. Not the works of man by doing nice things but the works that are about serving God’s agenda. There is a big difference.
  • The goodness and love of God is more than we can comprehend. Being rooted and grounded in Love we may be able to comprehend the fullness of just how big God is. The more you know God the more God can reveal Himself and His goodness through you.
  • Looking at king David and the sin he had committed concerning Bathsheba, David took responsibility for his actions without blaming anyone else or trying to hide what he did. He recognized his desperate need for the Lord’s grace and turned to the Lord for forgiveness and the Lord showed His grace upon David in a way that others were able to see.
  • In order to be able to extend mercy to others or share the Gospel with others one must receive these things from God and learn to stand in them themselves.
  • It is fellowship with God the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ that matters, and to have fellowship with those who are in Christ. To have that personal working relationship with Christ to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
