Subject:
- Let go of the things of the world that keep you from serving the Lord.
- The devil will continuously try and pull you away from God. Submit yourself to God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
- Gods plan is to transform you into the likeness of Jesus Christ by the renewing of your mind. God is looking to change you from that old, nasty man you were when you first came to Him so you can perform that which is your reasonable service to Him.
- Your service to God is a reasonable service considering what God has done for you.
- Submit yourself to the Jesus and acknowledge His Lordship.
- Making a choice to walk by faith is about trusting God, that His provisions will be sufficient for you regardless of what you see in the natural, not seeing the end or outcome of a situation.
- You must choose to receive the things of God in order for God to be able to give them to you.
- Be thankful to God for all that He has done for you instead of looking for something to complain about or coveting what you don’t have or what you think you should have. Pride says “I deserve better,” humility says “I got much better than I deserved.”
- Jesus did not claim to be good and even rebuked a man for calling Him good as He said only God is good. If Jesus denied being good, what would make people think they are good? Are we better than Jesus?
- Dying to yourself to serve God is an ongoing choice that you make numerous times throughout the day. It is not a one time and it’s done event.
- Set your mind on how good the Lord is continuously and you will rise above anything else going on around you.
- It is a joy to share with others Gods plan and provision for those who choose to serve Him.
- When dealing with the everyday tasks you are faced with, engage with an “I GET to do this” attitude instead of an “I HAVE to do this” attitude. I HAVE to do this is an attitude of being in bondage to a thing instead of being free and alive getting to do a thing. The one is “nay and nay,” a work of the flesh rooted in pride; But all things done with Godly humility through faith in Christ are “yea and Amen.”
