Subject:
- We often have the wrong motives when we do things thinking it is of the Lord when really it is about us and what we can gain for ourselves from doing it.
- Don’t fear what people can do to you or your body but can not kill the soul. Fear God who is able to destroy body and soul in hell.
- The world thinks of peace and love as always being nice and polite to people to avoid hurting their feelings and not offending them. That can be nothing but feeding a demon because hearing the truth is what will free a person from a demon and the truth will often offend a person or hurt their feelings. Being “nice” as the world see’s “nice” is not always the way to handle a situation.
- How often are you trying to hide something from the Lord. Nothing will be hid from Him. Hiding something from those whom the Lord put in authority over you is the same thing. Hiding motives is very common.
- God does not desire for us to perish. God has done everything necessary for us to have eternal life with Him. Eternal life is what God desires for us.
- When you are wrong in something you are doing or saying and someone loves you enough to point it out to you, or the Lord points it out to you, appreciate it. It is for your good. God wants to see you get free from whatever it is that you’re doing wrong because He loves you and cares for you.
- Jesus did not come to bring peace to the world, but a sword (the Word of God) to men. The Word of God will discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. When the Word of God is spoken those who hear it will decide if they are going to receive it or reject it.
- Despite how you may feel you must trust the Lord in all things. Many situations don’t make us feel good but God can get it worked out for our good.
- The words pride or proud are used very often in everyday conversation or advertisements. Most people don’t know what the definition of those words are. (1828 Websters dictionary) = Arrogance and conceit. Pride means it’s all about you. No, it’s all about Jesus! Are you the one who created the heavens and the earth? NO! So what makes you think anything is about you? That is why God resisteth the proud and giveth more grace to the humble. Do you want God to resist you?
