Subject:
- Abiding in the vine is being a part of the body of Christ.
- Trust in the Lords willingness and ability and desire to deliver you. This is how we are taught to have patience. The trying of our faith worketh patience. We learn by repetition.
- The patience that God wants to teach us is that His grace is there. Whatever temptation we fall into, count it all joy knowing that God will deliver you. He is faithful.
- Jesus is the true vine. We are the branches thereof. A branch that bears no fruit will be cast away.
- Even though our hearts are filled with wickedness the truth of the gospel, if heard, can still get a foothold and grow.
- Jesus’ sacrifice was full and complete. The price was paid for our sins past, present, and future.
- Hold fast the doing of our faith without wavering. Trust God with NO doubt at all.
- Provoke others to love and to good works as we also need to be provoked to love and good works. It’s not always easy to love others.
- Holding back the truth is not in love. Love is speaking the truth.
- Stand firm in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. Learn the reliability of the Lord Jesus Christ. You need to learn His faithfulness. You need to trust that no matter how bad you screw up, He is there holding His hand out to you. He is offering you forgiveness. He is loving you. He is rewriting your conscience to a conscience that is sensitive to His will and not your own. It’s a part expressing to you how good He is.
