-
Oh Lord, you’re beautiful, Your face is all I seek, and when your eyes are on this child your grace abounds to me. I want to take your word and shine it all around, but first help me just to live it Lord, and when I’m doing well, help me to never seek a crown, for my reward is giving glory to you.
- The more we get to know the Lord and His ways, the more we see how far we fall short of those ways.
- Do you know that you’re a sinner and that Jesus Christ died on a cross for your sins?
- When you compare your ways to those of the Lord do you fall short? What are you going to do about it?
- Romans 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
- Romans 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
- Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
- Romans 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
- Jesus Christ died for you when you were at your worst.
- His Word says it is attainable to walk after the Spirit and not fulfill the lust of the flesh, so we need to do that.
- Although I have been a Christian for years and years and years, I yet do not know how to conduct myself in a way that would glorify the Lord and not me.
- I want to know you, we want to see Jesus lifted high, these are things we can do. A man does what a man wants to do. If we want to see Jesus lifted high, who’s going to do that unless you do it? I want to know you Lord, well what’s stopping you?
- The Word says in James 1:5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
- You can know God but you can’t live in the flesh and know God.
- Shall we continue in unbelief? No, not at all.
- You can’t serve God in unbelief.
- You can’t serve God trusting in everything but God. That’s unbelief.
- You can serve God by faith believing on God and His sacrifice and provision. That’s where you serve God, by faith.
- All of Churchdom has embraced what is essentially paganism and they do so simply out of tradition and they are content to stay there.
- When you’re given the Truth, will you give up YOUR ways and receive the Truth and walk in it or will you be judged for not doing what you know is right?
- Pride shows up everywhere if we will see it then we can turn from it.
- If we are to be in the world and not of it, why do we spend so much time trying to be just like the world?
- If we wouldn’t like our spouse to be adulterous, why do we do that to God?
- If you read about the Kings in the Bible you will see that it says “did all that was right in the sight of the Lord but…” (read 2 Kings 12:2-3, 2 Kings 14:3-4, 2 Kings 15:3-4, 2 Kings 15:34-35, 2 Chronicles 25:2, 2 Chronicles 27:2). If there is a “but” in the statement then they did NOT do all that was right.
- You can’t be friends with the world and say you love God.
- If you take time to open your heart before the Lord and ask Him to show you where you fall short, He will show you. Then you need to humble yourself before Him, repent, receive forgiveness and move on.
- Paul submitted himself to God in Romans 8 and that is where that was no condemnation.
- People can’t see Jesus through you if you are busy trying to be friends with the world.
- Be acceptable to Jesus. He’s the only one who matters.
