Subject:
- The reason we are instructed so frequently to be strong and have courage is because doing things in our own power is easy, we can be prideful and we think we can do it. But when told to do something for the Lord, it requires His strength, His courage.
- In Bible times, when people failed to do what was right, there were immediate consequences like the ground opening up and swallowing them or they lost the war or they died.
- Living with immediate consequences should make you want to do what’s right.
- If you can’t obey the man you can see, what makes you think you obey and follow the Lord whom you can’t see?
- What would it look like to be cut off from God and not know it?
- Crucify the flesh, kill it, put it off, die to the old man.
- The owner of the business is really invested in the business, much more so than a hireling.
- Hirelings work for a paycheck, the owner works for the principle.
- If you fight against what is Gods natural order, it will lead to your destruction.
- Having to do something means you’re working for a paycheck. Whereas getting to do something means you’re working for principle.
- The natural occurrence of loving God is overflowing blessings.
