Subject:

  • The gospel is easy – give up your life and follow Jesus.
  • All we want from our children is for them to do what they are told, exactly as they are told and with immediate action.
  • Songs we sing are a prayer of hope to have them be the truth, they remind us to get up, turn our eyes on Jesus and walk after Him and His ways.
  • Seek ye first the Kingdom of God.
  • You can busy yourself and make excuses for not spending time in the Word, but the truth is if we’re not spending time in the Word as we should be, it’s because He is not our priority.
  • When you are walking in the Lord, doing those things which He has called you to do, the rest finds you.
  • When you are walking with your eyes on what you are not receiving you will grow weary and faint.
  • Write down every 15 minutes you take to do something in a day.  At the end of the week you can look back and see how much time you did not use to the glory of God or to build and strengthen your walk with the Lord.  You have to put in the time to get those promises from the Lord.
  • I want to know you, I want to see your face.  Want is not enough, you have to make it your priority to do those things required to know Him and see Him.
  • Faith in the Lord grows when you not only read the Word daily, but listen to it and spend time praying each day.
  • What is more profitable, spending 5 minutes in the restroom playing a game or checking email or reading the Word?
  • Blessings of the Lord come when you are a faithful, diligent servant of the Lord.
  • Servant of the Lord means you have no will other than the will of the Lord.
  • If you have laid down your life to the Lord and surrendered then your opinion does not matter, only what He wants matters.
  • If you truly surrender your life to the Lord, not just as your savior but as your Lord and master, then you want what He wants and nothing else.
  • When you hear the words “lay down” or “put off”, do you hear loss or gain?
  • To seek ye first the Kingdom of God and set your affections on things above is completely opposite of the worlds ways, which tell us to find ourselves.
  • Walking in the flesh is like gravity, it pulls you down.  Walking in the spirit you will soar.
  • We can get mid-air refueling just like a plane can, by plugging into the power of God.
  • If you turn and look back and see it as a loss, you will drop like a rock.
  • It is our own responsibility to lay it aside.
  • Less weight on a plane makes it easier to fly.  The same goes for our walk in the Lord.
  • Stop looking at the old man as something you’ve lost that was worth holding onto.  You should see it as gain to be rid of that old man.
  • Jesus is the only one who has His hand outstretched to receive us.
