TFM-AZ-Church-ServiceSpeakers:

  • Rick Eutsler, Jr.
  • Sue Eutsler

Scriptures Used:

  • James 4:1-10
  • Romans 12
  • Luke 14:25
  • 1 John 2:3

Subject:

  • The sequence of events in James 4 is important to note.  Humble yourself, submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.
  • Jesus submitted Himself as a living sacrifice daily and He showed us how to do that.
  • Jesus put others before Himself every day, in every way.
  • Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice.
  • Jesus took His sacrifice as a victory, not a loss.
  • Luke 14:25 – Jesus turns to them and gives them the cost immediately.
  • You can’t be a living sacrifice if you have any of the things mentioned in Romans 12 before Him.
  • Whoso does not bear his cross and come after Jesus, cannot be His disciple.  Jesus bore the iniquity so that others could be set free.  Your cross is the same cross that Jesus had.
  • Jesus said not my will, but thy will be done and we must choose that too.
  • For the joy set before Him Jesus laid down His life.
  • Jesus suffered and was victorious and the same can be true for us.
  • There are an abundance of examples in Scripture of how we ought to be.
  • If we don’t show Jesus, why would anyone want to be a part of Christ?
