Subject:

  • Tribulation is a guarantee in this life, but it can be used to glorify God.
  • Matthew 10:34  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
  • We are fit to minister to people because of our past experiences.
  • Praise God for the struggle or you wouldn’t be growing in the faith.  Working out builds muscle and the more you work out the stronger you get, the same is true for our struggles allowing us the opportunity to grow in the faith.
  • 1 Timothy 4:8  For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things…
  • Pulling the weeds out of your heart hurts just like doing sit-ups hurts.
  • It’s a fight to go forward.
  • We need to be thankful for the good things.
  • Hebrews 13:2  Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.
  • There was nothing special about the apostle Paul, until the power of God showed up.
  • We need to let God do the work and quit trying to do it ourselves and He will establish our credentials.
  • Our credentials are established by doing the will of the Father.
  • If we are a part of the body, we all suffer together, so pray for one another.  (The body is made up of many parts.  If the feet are holding up the body in a battle, then the parts are working together correctly.)
  • Hebrews 13:4  Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
  • There are always consequences to our actions.
  • Covetousness is unprofitable, contentment is profitable.
  • Psalm 37:16  A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.
  • Philippians 4:12  I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
  • Contentment is a choice!  Paul & Silas in jail praised God to suffer the wrong for His sake.  Acts 16:23  And when they had laid many stripes upon them, they cast them into prison, charging the jailor to keep them safely: 24  Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks. 25 ¶  And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
  • Not all things are happy things.
  • Choose to receive all things as a blessing of God.
  • Hebrews 13:5  Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.  That is an amazing promise.
  • Freedom from fear is a release from bondage.
  • Paul & Silas in jail, Steven when he was stoned, the Prophets when they were killed, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach & Abednego to name a few, were men who chose to receive all things as a blessing of God and to be content.  The state they were in was one of not fearing man and what man could do to them.
  • Matthew 10:28  And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
  • Choose to occupy the state of not fearing man but rather fearing the Lord.
  • Press toward the mark.
  • God gave them the ministry of life.
  • Ephesians 4:11  And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
  • God gave us a line of authority because sometimes we can’t see something that’s right in front of us when those in authority over us can see those things clearly.
  • If we are His body, we are able to walk as He walked.  1 John 2:6  He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
  • Hebrews 13:8  Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
  • The line of authority always existed.
  • If my people will humble themselves and seek me and my ways, then these blessings will overtake them.  If they will not, then curses will overtake them.  Deuteronomy 28:1  And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:  2  And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
  • Colossians 2:22 21  (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22  Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?  These doctrines are about what you can do, they are not about the grace and mercy of God.
  • Jesus became a cursed thing for our sakes.
  • Accountability and responsibility are no longer words used or understood in society today.
  • Pray for one another to walk honestly before the Lord.
