• The word of God is the truth! And the word testifies that we are guilty of falling short of the glory of God. But because of His grace and mercy we don’t have to hide from the truth. Without mercy there would be no hope in facing the truth.
• Isaiah 40:31 “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength”. To wait upon the Lord does not mean to sit around and wait for the Lord to move. It means always looking for the next opportunity to serve Him. Such as a waiter in a restaurant serves a customer. If we wait on the Lord to serve him our strength will be renewed to continue to serve Him and we will not become faint or weary.
• John 15:8″ Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples”. To be a disciple of Jesus and glorify the Father you must bear much fruit. The fruit is Agape Love of putting God and others before self.
• Minister the word of God to others to serve His purpose not our own.
• Psalms 51:10 “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me”. If our motives are not focused toward the Lord, confess before the Lord of your selfish motives and ask him to cleanse your heart.
• Psalms 139:23 “Search me, O God, And know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts”: Ask God to search your heart and thoughts that he will see any wickedness in us that needs to be dealt with so He will show us these things and lead us away from them.
• Walk in meekness. Meekness = Not having any confidence in yourself. Put your confidence in the power of God.
• God has freed us to do His will by what He has done by His power, not by anything we have done.
