Subject:
- Walking in the Spirit.
- The Fruit of the Spirit.
- Meekness: the disposition to be gentle, kind, indulgent, even-balanced in tempers and passions, and patient in suffering injuries without feeling a spirit of revenge.
- We can only do those things the Lord asks us to do if we believe God.
- A vengeful spirit at the root of it wants someone to pay for something they have done. But because we’ve been there, we can see we are no different and show mercy.
- Elijah stood in those things the Lord had for him in meekness, he was humble trusting only the Lord and having all confidence in Him, none in himself.
- Our example of meekness is Jesus. The Lord is both the Lion of Judah and the Lamb of God. Most people really like the Lamb of God and see it as love, but they see Lion of Judah not being love. We need to choose to stand in both for the people in front of us.
- Meekness is doing that which the Lord has called us to do with confidence in the Lord.
- A meek sister or brother in the Lord can restore the brethren when we stumble.
- Are we satisfied with what we have, and are we grateful to the Lord for all of it?
- The less that we think that we are deserving of, the more of a realization comes to you about how much the Lord is blessing us with.
- Take a moment to think about what the Lord has done for us.
- Seek and ye shall find, that’s a promise.
- A meek person will often receive correction.
- All the things we receive and do is because God does it.
- The meek will inherit peace.
- Meek is poor in spirit, humble.
- We will all stand before God, we will either be accepted or rejected. It all stands on whether we believe.
- When God arises to judgement those who have waited, trusted and believed, He will save.
- We need to be exhorted to rejoice in the Lord.
- He takes pleasure in His people.
- Pleasure; to be pleased with, specifically to satisfy a debt, enjoy. To take pleasure and reconcile oneself.
- Jesus paid a huge price to make us acceptable to God. When people accept that sacrifice, it is a joy to the Lord.
- The Lord is just, when the wicked are cast to the ground, it is because they have rejected God. They were all given a chance to receive life.
- The more we know the Lord, the more we know His mercy, the more we rejoice in Him.
- The Fruit of the Spirit is Love, Agape Love.
- There is a joyfulness in just being a recipient of His love.
- Restoring brethren in the spirit of meekness, and that meekness is by the gospel in the fact that God is a forgiver.
- God’s forgiveness is greater than our sin.
- Realize everyone of us are capable of being overtaken by sin. Restore the brethren in the spirit of meekness not in the spirit of judgement.
- There is no reason to strive, it means to war, fight or quarrel.
- When we turn the other cheek, it is not being knocked off your stand in Christ.
- We have to choose God over our natural man, and do it as often as it takes.
- Elijah saw himself as falling several times and every time the Lord stood him back up.
